SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING - TEAM -BUILDING RETREAT
At 8:43 a.m., Mayor Ramirez called the meeting to order.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: 7- Councilmember Abe-Koga, Councilmember Kamei, Councilmember
Lieber, Councilmember Matichak, Councilmember Showalter, Vice
Mayor Hicks, Mayor Ramirez
3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC ON NONAGENDIZED ITEMS
There were no public speakers.
4. FACILITATED CITY COUNCIL TEAM -BUILDING SESSION
4.1 Facilitated City Council Team -Building Session
The Council engaged in a facilitated dialogue regarding celebrating accomplishments,
reviewing norms for working together, Council roles and responsibilities and public
meeting management.
Greg Larson facilitated the meeting.
At 9:41 a.m., Councilmember Kamei left the dais. Councilmember Kamei returned to the
dais at 9:45 a.m.
At 10:45 a.m., Mayor Ramirez recessed the meeting. The meeting reconvened at 10:57
a.m. with all Councilmembers present.
At 11:15 a.m., Councilmember Kamei left the dais. Councilmember Kamei returned to the
dais at 11:38 a.m.

By consensus, the Council referred consideration of updating the parliamentary
procedures found in Cily Cuuncil PUlicy A-13 lu the Council Policy and Procedures
Committee. The Council also directed staff to hold the June 28 City Council meeting as a
hybrid meeting allowing both in -person and virtual participation.
ADJOURNMENT
At 1:00 p.m., Mayor Ramirez adjourned the meeting.
