CITY COUNCILPOLICY
SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF CITY AUDITOR NO.: A-12
PURPOSE:
To establish a policy of compliance with City Charter Section 701 by providing for the
appointment of a City Auditor.
POLICY:
1. Following appointment to the City Auditor position by the City Council, the
appointed City Auditor shall serve until removed by affirmative
five members of the City Council.
2. The appointment shall be of a named individual rather than by po
3.In the event the City Auditor also is a paid City employee and is discharged from
that paid City position, the City Auditor shall nonetheless cont
status until terminated as City Auditor by the City Council or h
compensation is modified by the City Council.
4. The City Auditor shall be required to attend an annual meeting o
to present an annual report.
